7:15 pm PDT I'm watching TCM while feeding candy to the blackmailers... errr... trick or treaters. It's Die Monster Die, Boris Karloff's last
movie. It looks like it has been restored, It is very bright and good looking. It is from the HP Lovecraft story "A Colour Out of Time". It is the
one of three Lovecraft movies in a row, including the Shuttered Room and the Dunwich Horror. I was hoping for Frankenstein or Dracula or maybe the Rocky Horror
Picture Show but this is very good.

8:05 pm Halloween blog....Ahhh it wasn't Boris' last movie but very cool nonetheless. Nick Adams, the boyfriend who came to visit, had a hard core
Jersey accent. The wacky aunt from the attic melted from the rain, Boris turned into a shining robot/monster that fell off the balcony to die! WOW! That was
great!

8:20 watching the Shuttered Room, lots of T&Ters still coming. This is starting off good. They have a cool '61(or so) TBird going on a barge to the old
family homestead. Gig Young is looking fine.Why does all these islands look like England? The weird family here is named Whatley. The last movie they were
called Whitley. Lovecraft had something going...

8:50 Oh man, they visited the haunted lighthouse where the Lady That Knows lives! The evil nephew has a voluptuous babe kicked out of his bed with her shirt
unbuttoned! Very racy for 1966.

9:20 This movie has turned very different. More sexual liaisons on the moor. Gig Young almost get raped. I don't think HP had this in mind.
The wife is home from T&Ting. She wants to change the channel. Can't say I blame her. |

I didn't watch anything last night, horror or otherwise. Had a long hard work day and went to bed early. There hasn't been any T'rT's in my
neighborhood for the four years I've lived here. These days most people just have parties, either private or at schools and such, or go the the haunted
house attractions.
I've never been a big horror fan anyway, preferring suspense over fright. If I had watched a related movie last night it would have been something along the lines of "The Haunting" or "The Innocents," or if I had a copy of it maybe "The Halloween Tree." |

My eldest daughter wanted to get in the Halloween mood. So we watched the two 'Ghostbusters' movies, "House 2: The 2nd Story", some of the
original Addams Family episodes, 'Sleepy Hollow' (the Johnny Depp and I had to warn her, no cute Disney short here!), the Buffy Halloween episode with
the Frat spook house, "Killer Clowns From Outer Space" and of course, the Supernatural episodes this last month were great! I really wanted to watch
the new Halloween from 2007 but I couldn't make it past the "revisionist" awful white trash Myers family, uggggg-LLLY!!! Oh well...
