I reread them a little less often. It takes me that long to get back to them. I read new books then old ones cause a I can't remember the thread of the
previous ones and well it's a never ending cycle. Read the books as an adult and they have a whole new meaning. My first read was when I was a teen.
I'm only 52 now but have read them at least 3 times. Last time I read the whole mess, Robot, Empire and Foundation 1-3 I gotta tell ya I woke up one day in
this world and thought I'd been shot back though time, and not a good one! Yea , joke there.

I've only read the Foundation trilogy twice, the first time in either the late 60s or early 70s, shortly after discovering SF. The second time was just
before writing my review for this site.
I do not have any hope that we will get a good film adaptation. The main reason being that it spans such a long period of time, plus there are no characters that are in that much of the story. They will probably condense a lot of the plot, or else throw out much of the plot and invent their own. The writer/producer attached to the project at this time is Roland Emmerich, who has done such great |

It would have to be alittle like HG Wells Time Machine on fast forward wouldn't it? I found the day after tomorrow interesting, I saw Godzilla but Ive
forgotten the new one. How would they depict Trantor? Esp over the periods involved. You are right. They would focus on some point most likely not in the books
and build backward around it. It would be tragic. Like recent movies the illiterate public would watch it and think they knew the real story. If they did each
book in the series it would take more movies than star trek, which just won't die. If they really want this movie I think the guy who did Babylon 5 would
be a better choice.
I may be out for a couple days. Got surgery in the morn. be back after the drugs let me go. be well |

My guess would be that they would concentrate on Hari Seldon.

tek's book reports
Finally finished up my reviews of the first three books in the series. They're all on one page right now, but I'm thinking maybe I should break them up into their own individual pages. You know, my book reviews are linked from a frame on the left, and I'm thinking if I broke up the series into books, the link would lead to an intro page for Foundation which itself had a navframe at the top of the page with links to my reviews of each book in the series.... I dunno. Meanwhile, the link I've provided here includes reviews of several books and series, not just Foundation. Shame there are so few reviews, I can't review ones I read years ago, because I don't remember them well enough. So I'll have to reread them someday. Which means less time to read stuff I haven't read yet. And I especially want to reread all the hhgttg books, to review. |

Welp, I did separate the book reviews onto different pages, without using an extra frame. Yay me. Also edited the reviews a bit.

I'm FREE!!! Little fun there. I am pretty well able to use my hands again, finally. See Tek ni has been busy, I'll check it all out soon. I submitted
my novel and I[m waiting on the publisher to get their act together. I thought while I was down I'd get a chance to do some reading but couldn't even
hold onto a book, it was awful!
I think you're right about Sheldon, Not Again. He would be the one focus on. After seeing how they dealt with Dune and Children of Dune, I think the holagraphic Harry could be done in CGI and be good. I like the first Book when He is alive. Reminds me of a Sam Spade type some how.

I finished reading Foundation's Edge a few days ago, and today I've added a review to my site. I expect I had more stuff I thought to write, as I was reading the book, but since I don't tend to take notes, I don't
really remember everything so well. But whatever. It was good, and I look forward to the next book in the series.

And now I finished the review of "Prelude to Foundation." Hopefully I'm not forgetting to many things I wanted to say about it. Now I just have
one more Foundation book to read that was actually written by Asimov. After that maybe I should take a break from the Foundation series, read some other stuff
before eventually reading the second foundation trilogy, by other guys....

Finished "Forward the Foundation" the other day, and spent pretty much of the day and night today working on my review, which I warn you, contains many spoilers and is mostly a summary of what
happens... Anyway, I also picked up the first of a second Foundation trilogy by different authors, which I look forward to reading, but now that I've
finished Asimov's own Foundation books, I think I should take a break from the series for awhile. 7 straight foundation books is enough for now....
