Welp, finally got to see this, after waiting since 2006, when my daughter and I attended FX Con, where it was being promoted. It originally was supposed to
open in 2007 but for a number of reasons, didn't until November of last year and in limited release. The story for anyone familar with the film is about a
group of Star Wars fans who decide to drive across the country. Break into Skywalker Ranch in CA. and steal the 'rough cut' of "The Phantom
Menace" for their friend, who is dying of cancer. It stars a bunch of mostly cult actors, Veronica Mars's Kristian Bell, Superman Returns's Jimmy
Olsen- Sam Huntington, Joan of Acadia's Adam- Chris Marquette, Balls of Fire's Dan Fogler and Jay Baruchel of Tropical Thunder and Knocked Up.
Welp, I really enjoyed this movie. Lots of inside jokes, gags on the Star Trek vs. Star Wars fans rivalry, loads of cameo appearances-- just basically a fan's fan movie. I wish it had a wide release so more people could enjoy it. Only 1 theatre has it in Tampa and we saw it with like 6 other people. I will definitely buy the DVD when it comes out...
