Maid Marion is a bit of a pain in the ass and some of the pc bs that is getting so common in everything, but I like it. The Robin Hood is solid, the Merry Men

Just watched the season 3 premiere. They finally introduced Tuck, who is a far cry from my idea of the character in appearance, but the moment he hit Robin, I
thought, yeah, that's Tuck alright. And I think this was a good way to introduce him, to help Robin get over Marian...

Welp, Flynn is my favorite followed by Michael Praed as the more mystical Robin from the '80s series. I enjoy the new (well, newish) Hood, but like I said,
some things the spirit and character-driven enjoyment of the show really has to work to defeat. The agressive 20-21st Century woman Marion is, black folks as
regular British citizens and not Moors and such and things not associated with the 11th or 12th Century like leather trenchcoats, combat boots with laces and
most startling,...

I haven't watched any of this version of Robin Hood, but I think I might have a few problems accepting the anachronistic character actions too. As far as
strong-willed women characters go, I suppose there have been several historical ones throughout the years, but I don't think Marian was ever intended to be
one of them. I guess I'm old fashioned, cause Errol Flynn will always be Robin Hood to me.

Well nevertheless, I like Marian. I can't really stand seeing women acting basically less than human, even if it's historically accurate. Probably the
main reason I stopped watching Mad Men after a few episodes...

We are up to "Sisterhood", watched it today. It looked like the opening of the 2nd season, like they got way more money and Robin and the Merry Men
had been working out. I did love how Gisborne was really, really enraged and treated Marion like crap. About time after all the stuff she put him through.
Another thing I dislike is how she's so much a modern feminist character in the Middle Ages. Really gets old, all these female characters modelled after
Keira Knightley types like...
