My son and I have been playing pretty regularly these last few months. I first started in the '80s but picked it up again now that he's old enough
(14). Its great fun, dressing in cammo and shooting at moving targets without having to clean and cook them later.

...since I last posted on this. Right now, playing Area 51 and Star Wars Battlefront for original X-Box.

Area 51 is about a Hazmat specialist named Ethan Cole along with his team have been called to the famous/infamous site after there's some kind of unbelievable emergency. So, you decend into a huge secret underground complex that goes on and on and on. Soon, your whole team is killed and you are on your own against mutant zombies, alien hybrids and some pretty weird crap. Paranoia...

Welp, a buttload of reviews got blitzed in the big derezz a while back. So here we go again.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer (X-Box):
Welp, this was pretty good, roughly set about the time just before Angel split for LA in the 3rd season. So, it's pretty early Buffy, no Tara, Anya or Faith though Spike has returned. And all the voices are the real cast of BTVS. Welp, not to spoil any mystery or plot, an old original enemy has...

Welp, simply, this is the wildest game I have played in a long time! Imagine, the creators of Wallace And Gromit, the Pythons, Guy Richie and JRR Tolkien decided to create an intensely violent FPS game. It's a mix of fantasy, action and maybe a bit of alternate reality SF where our heroes, the Lionhearts (Roman, a Cockney-accented human, Q- a robot that looks like an Imperial Roman Centurian, Jonesy- a Scottish miner mole and Rexus, the Yoda character, not sure what he is) are trying to free...

Halo is simply pretty much one of the best games I have played in years, Science Fiction/Action/Adventure-wise. In
the year 2552, you are the Master Chief, a "super-soldier" of the Spartan II Program. You are awaken from cryo-sleep to find your ship, "The Pillar Of Autumn" trying to lead your enemy, "The Covenant" away from Earth. They make a blind jump into space but are followed and found. And amazingly enough, there is a "Ringworld" type...

Welp, I got a couple of games the last couple of months that I enjoyed, the afore-mentioned new Max Payne and FF. Both are pretty good first person shooters with stories.

Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne returns to the noir world of the NYC detective/ex-DEA agent. He is back as a cop, returned to the force and avoiding prison with the help of Senator Wodin from the last game (since he killed 100s of criminals in the original). Also back is his femme fatal, Mona, a dangerous love...
